The Place of Water by
Kristen
There is a small beach.
It is very colorful due to the many rocks that sparkle and shine in the
sunlight. It is quiet and peaceful. The colorful arrays of pebbles light the
cool, light blue surface of the shallow water with dancing spots of light. A think, dense forest is in the
background. Its long, shady branches
cast small shadows over the sandy beach.
Huge, moss-covered trees loom over the carpet of twigs and leaves
sitting on the forest floor. The smooth
flow of the waves and current washes the sandy ground, leaving a new assortment
of shells, driftwood and more colorful rocks.
If I listen closely, I can hear birds singing and squirrels chattering
as they feast on nuts and seeds. The
view is breathtaking. I would give
almost anything to live there.
